Visit of the Secretary-General of the Central Library to the Library of the College of Education for Pure Sciences
Assistant Professor Abdul Latif Sharif Shihab, Secretary-General of the Central Library at Tikrit University, visited the Library of the College of Education for Pure Sciences to review its academic and service conditions, as well as the level of services provided to students and faculty members.
The visit included a tour of the library’s sections, during which he examined the mechanisms adopted for organizing books and scientific references, the circulation system in place, and the reading halls designated for students. He also assessed the availability of resources aligned with the requirements of academic curricula and scientific research.
In addition, the electronic services implemented in the library were reviewed, particularly the electronic cataloging system and the use of NFC cards to regulate beneficiary access and facilitate circulation procedures, thereby supporting digital transformation and enhancing the quality of services provided.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the commitment of the General Secretariat of the Central Library to continuously monitor and develop college libraries in line with academic advancements, in a manner that supports the university’s scientific mission.
